Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey is a large Gothic church in the City of Westminster, London. According to tradition the church was founded at the site in the 7th century with construction of the present church beginning in 1245 on the orders of Henry III. Since 1066 the coronations of English and British monarchs have been held in the Abbey.
How to get to Westminster Abbey by train
Take the District or Circle line to St James's Park or the Jubilee, District or Circle line to Westminster. Westminster Abbey is a short walk from both stations.
