The Lowry
The Lowry is a theatre and gallery complex located in Salford Quays, Salford, Greater Manchester. It takes its name after the 20th-century artist, L.S. Lowry who is best known for is paintings of industrial scenes in the north west of England. The Lowry was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth Ii in October 2000. The complex contains 2,000 sq.m. of gallery space displaying works by L.S. Lowry and others.
How to get to The Lowry by train
Take Manchester's Metrolink service to Harbour City (Eccles Line) or MediaCity UK (MediaCity UK Line). Both Metrolink stations are a short walk from The Lowry
