Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday Football Club was originally a cricket club but played its first football match in 1868. The club currently (2013-14 season) compete in the Football League Championship, the second tier of English football. The club play their home matches at the 39,732 capacity Hillsborough stadium in the north-western suburb of Owlerton from which they derive their nickname of The Owls.

From Sheffield railway station take a short walk to Sheffield centre and catch the 53, 79 or 79A bus to the football stadium. A short walk will be required to complete your journey.
