About Reims and the train services available
Reims is a city in the Champagne-Ardenne region of France and is some 129 km to the north east of Paris.
Reims, along with Épernay and Ay, functions as one of the centres of champagne production. Many of the largest champagne-producing houses, known as les grandes marques, have their headquarters in Reims, and most are open for tasting and tours.
Reims is served by two railway stations: Gare de Reims and Gare de Champagne-Ardenne TGV which is a new station located some 5 km to the south west of the city. High speed TGV, inter city and regional services all call at both stations although the new Gare de Champagne-Ardenne TGV principally serves high speed TGV services.
