National Railway Museum

The National Railway Museum is located in York and forms part of the British National Museum of Science and Industry and tells the story of rail transport in Britain and its impact on society. It won the award of European Museum of the Year in 2001 and is home to the national collection of historically significant railway vehicles and artifacts.
