National Portrait Gallery
The National Portrait Gallery is located in London and houses a collection or portraits of historically important and famous British people. It opened in 1856 and was the first portrait gallery in the world. The gallery moved to its current location at St Martin's Place, off Trafalgar Square, in 1896 where the building adjoins the National Gallery.
How to get to National Portrait Gallery by train
Take the London Underground to either Charing Cross or Leicester Square and the National Portrait gallery is a short walk from both stations.
