Monchengladbach (previously known has Munchen Gladbach) is a city in the west of Germany in the North Rhine-Westphalia. It is situated mid way between Dusseldorf and the border with the Netherlands.
Monchengladbach is served by two railway stations: Monchengladbach Hauptbahnhof (Monchengladbach Central Station) and Rheydt Hauptbahnhof. The city is the only one in Germany with two "Hauptbahnhof" (Central Station) due to the merger of the city of Rheydt into Mönchengladbach in the late 1970s.
