Totnes Train Station
Totnes railway station, operated by First Great Western, serves the Devon towns of Totnes and Dartington. The station lies on the Plymouth to Exeter Line which is also referred to as the South Devon Main Line, which is part of the line between London Paddington and Penzance. The station has a staffed ticket office although passengers should note that it is not open in the late evening. Passengers are able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station. Facilities at the station include pay phones, refreshments, toilets and baby changing facilities. Passengers should note that ATM's are not available at the station. Buses to Dartmouth operate from the car park outside the station. Also a footpath from here leads under the viaduct at the north east end of the station to a footbridge that crosses the River Dart alongside the railway to reach Littlehempston railway station from where trains run to Buckfastleigh railway station.Passenger services calling at the station are operated by First Great Western and CrossCountry. Between them they offer services to destinations which include London Paddington, Plymouth, Penzance, Birmingham New Street, Manchester Piccadilly on onwards to the north east of England and Scotland.Parking is available at the station for 102 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.
