Sandwell & Dudley railway station, operated by London Midland, serves the metropolitan boroughs of Sandwell and Dudley in the West Midlands and lies on the Stour Valley section of the East Coast Main Line which connects London to the West Midlands, the North West, North Wales and the Central Belt of Scotland. It was originally opened as 'Oldbury' in 1852 and was one of two stations in the town. The station itself is located on Bromford Lane on the outskirts of Oldbury town centre. The station has a staffed ticket office although passengers should note that it is not open in the late evening. Passengers are able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station. Facilities at the station include toilets and a waiting room. Passengers should note that ATM's and baby changing facilities are not available at the station.Passenger services calling at the station are offered by London Midland and Virgin Trains. Between them passenger services generally depart towards Wolverhampton, Walsall, Birmingham New Street, Aston, Shrewsbury, Glasgow Central, Edinburgh Waverley, Crewe, Preston, London Euston and Milton Keynes Central.Parking is available at the station for 374 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.

The station is also the London terminus for London Midland services and for services on the Watford DC Line. Passenger services calling at the station are operated by First ScotRail, London Midland and Virgin Trains.Facilities at the station include ATM's, bureau de change, First Class Lounge, pay phones, public wifi, cafes, shops, toilets, baby changing facilities and tourist information office. Parking is available at the station for 217 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.The station is connected to Euston tube station and is also near Euston Square tube station on the London Underground. It is a short walk from London King's Cross Station, the southern terminus of the East Coast Main Line, and St Pancras International Station for the Midland Main Line and Eurostar to France and Belgium. All of these stations are in Travelcard Zone 1.
