Penzance railway station, operated by First Great Western, serves the Cornish town of Penzance and is the western terminus of the Cornish Main Line which connects Plymouth in Devon to Penzance. The station is approximately 300 miles to the south west of London Paddington railway station. The station has a staffed ticket office although passengers should note that it is not open in the late evening. Passengers are able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.

It is both the southernmost station on the National Rail network and the westernmost station in England, although not Great Britain as some stations in Scotland are further west.

Facilities at the station include pay phones, refreshments, toilets and a tourist information office. Passengers should note that ATM's and baby changing facilities are not available at the station.

Passenger services calling at the station are operated by First Great Western and CrossCountry. Services departing the station generally travel towards St Ives, Truro, Plymouth, London Paddington, Bristol Temple Meads, Birmingham New Street, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle Central, Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central.

Parking is available at the station for 90 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.
