Oxford railway station, operated by First Great Western, serves the Oxfordshire city of Oxford. Renowned for its historic university, the city's railway station is approximately half a mile to the west of the city centre and lies on the line between London Paddington and Hereford via Worcester Shrub Hill. It is also the starting point for local trains to London Paddington, Reading, Worcester and Bicester Town. The station has a staffed ticket office although passengers should note that it is not open in the late evening. Passengers are able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.

Facilities at the station include ATM's, pay phones, public wifi, cafes, shops, toilets and baby changing facilities.

Sheffield railway station is operated by East Midlands Trains and is located on the Midland Main Line which connects London St. Pancras station to the northern city of Sheffield via Luton, Bedford, Kettering, Leicester, East Midlands Parkway, Derby/Nottingham and Chesterfield. Passenger services calling at the station are operated by CrossCountry, East Midlands Trains, Northern Rail and First TransPennine Express.

Facilities at the station include ATM's, pay phones, cafes, shops, toilets and baby changing facilities. The main entrance to the station faces Sheaf Square where passengers can also find a taxi rank. Parking is available at the station for 678 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.

The station is divided into four parts: the main building/concourse and platforms 1a/1b; the first island with platforms 2a-5b; the second island with platforms 6a-8b; and the adjoining Supertram stop. All sections are connected by a large footbridge.
