London Paddington Train Station

London Paddington railway station is operated by Network Rail and is a main line railway station and terminus for the First Great Western services to west London, the Thames Valley and long distance inter city services to south west England and South Wales. The station is also the terminus for the Heathrow Express, a high speed service linking central London with Heathrow Airport.

Parking is available at the station for 152 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day. The National Rail station is officially named London Paddington, a name commonly used outside London but rarely by Londoners, who call it just Paddington.

The site has been the London terminus of the Great Western Railway and its successors since 1838. Much of the mainline station dates from 1854 and was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. The site was first served by Underground trains in 1863, as the original western terminus of the Metropolitan Railway, the world's first underground railway.
