Neath railway station, operated by Arriva Trains Wales, serves the Welsh town of Neath and is located at street level on Windsor Road in the town centre. The station has a staffed ticket office although passengers should note that it is not open in the late evening. Passengers are able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station. Facilities at the station include pay phones, a cafe, toilets and baby changing facilities. Passengers should note that ATM's are not available at the station. The station has two platforms. Platform 1 is for westbound services towards Swansea and Milford Haven. Platform 2 is for eastbound services towards Cardiff, Manchester and London.Passenger services calling at the station are operated by Arriva Trains Wales and First Great Western. Between them they offer services towards London Paddington, Milford Haven, Camarthen, Manchester Piccadilly, Cardiff, Newport, Shrewsbury and Swansea.Parking is available at the station for 64 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.

The site was first served by Underground trains in 1863, as the original western terminus of the Metropolitan Railway, the world's first underground railway.
