Milton Keynes Central Crewe Train

Milton Keynes Central railway station, operated by London Midland, serves the Buckinghamshire town of Milton Keynes. The station lies on the West Coast Main Line, which connects London to the West Midlands, the North West, North Wales and the Central Belt of Scotland, and is between the stations of Bletchley and Wolverton. The station has a staffed ticket office and passengers are also able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.

The station was opened in 1982 to serve the new town of Milton Keynes. Before it opened, Bletchley was the nearest station served by British Rail InterCity services.

Facilities at the station include ATM's, pay phones, a cafe, shops and public toilets. Passengers should note that baby changing facilities are not available at the station.

From 2019, services will operate over the East West Rail Link westwards via Winslow to Aylesbury, High Wycombe and London Marylebone and to Bicester Town, Oxford and Reading.

Parking is available at the station for 964 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.

Crewe railway station has an important role in the history of the railways in the United Kingdom. It was the first station to have its own adjacent railway hotel (The Crewe Arms built in 1838), the first to be rebuilt because a larger station was required, the first to form junction between more than two railway companies and the first to have a completely independent railway line built around it to ease congestion.
