The station operates inter city routes to London, Birmingham, Bristol, South Wales, the south coast of England, Scotland and to destinations throughout the north of England. The station is the busiest in Manchester and plans exist to further enhance the station's facilities and capacity as part of the Northern Hub and High Speed 2 plans. The station has a staffed ticket office and passengers are also able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station. The main entrance leads to a concourse with ground floor and mezzanine levels. The Fairfield Street entrance leads to the Metrolink station in the undercroft and is linked to the rail platforms by escalators. Facilities at the airport include ATM's, First Class Lounge, pay phones, public wifi, cafes and shops, toilets and baby changing facilities.Passenger services calling at the station are provided by Arriva Trains Wales, CrossCountry, East midlands Trains, First TransPennine Express, Northern Rail and Virgin Trains. Located in the Stoke Gifford area of Bristol, Bristol Parkway railway station offers passengers services towards destinations including London Paddington, Cardiff Central, Swansea, Weston-super-Mare, Westbury, Gloucester, Bristol Temple Meads, Manchester Piccadilly, Plymouth, Edinburgh Waverley, Leeds, Newcastle Central and Birmingham New Street. Journey times to London Paddington are around 90 minutes, to Cardiff Central 40 minutes, to Birmingham New Street 75 minutes and to Bristol Temple Meads 12 minutes.From the station connections can be made via Cardiff Central to Fishguard Harbour for the Stena Line ferry to Rosslare Europort for onward Irish Rail trains to Wexford and Dublin Connolly. There are also connecting trains from Cardiff Central and Swansea to Pembroke Dock for the Irish Ferries to Rosslare Europort onward Irish Rail services to Wexford and Dublin Connolly.The station is located on the South Wales Main Line which connects London to destinations in South Wales. The station is operated by First Great Western who also operate some of the passenger services calling at the station along with CrossCountry.Facilities at the station include ATM's, pay phones, public wifi, a cafe overlooking the tracks, shops, toilets and baby changing facilities. Parking is available at the station for 1,140 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.
