London Waterloo Bournemouth Train

London Waterloo railway station, operated by Network Rail, is a central London main line railway terminus and London Underground station. The station is located close to the South Bank of the River Thames. The station is the UK's busiest railway station, by passenger numbers, and is the terminus for South West Trains services to south west London, Surrey, Hampshire, Dorset and parts of Berkshire. The station has a staffed ticket office and passengers are also able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.

Passenger services departing from the station are operated by South West Trains and offer destinations that include Chessington South, Hampton Court, Wimbledon, Epsom, Dorking, Guildford, Woking, Basingstoke, Salisbury, Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Weymouth and Exeter.

Waterloo Underground station is served by the Bakerloo, Jubilee, Northern (Charing Cross branch) and Waterloo & City lines which is open Mondays to Saturdays only as it is intended almost exclusively for commuters who work in the City of London.

Parking is available at the station for 27 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.

The current Bournemouth railway station is the centre of, what was once, a small network featuring 5 different railway lines - South West Main Line, Southampton and Dorchester Railway, Ringwood, Christchurch and Bournemouth Railway, Salisbury and Dorset Junction Railway and Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway all of which passed through Bournemouth and surrounding villages.
