London Paddington Train Station
London Paddington railway station, operated by Network Rail, is a main line railway station and terminus for the First Great Western services to west London, the Thames Valley and long distance inter city services to south west England and South Wales. The station is also the terminus for the Heathrow Express, a high speed service linking central London with Heathrow Airport. The station has a staffed ticket office and passengers are also able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station. Passenger facilities at the station include ATM's, First Class Lounge, pay phones, public wifi, cafes and shops, toilets and baby changing facilities.Passenger services departing the station are operated by First Great Western, Chiltern Railways and Heathrow Express. Between them they offer passengers destinations including Heathrow Airport, Reading, Didcot Parkway, Swindon, Bristol Temple Meads, Bath Spa, Cardiff Central, Bristol Parkway, Newbury, Exeter St Davids and Chippenham.London Paddington is also served by four London Underground lines: the Bakerloo, Circle, District and Hammersmith & City lines. Although Paddington is not served by the Central line, the short walk to Lancaster Gate tube station is taken by many commuters heading for the West End or the City, as it can be quicker than alternative routes.Parking is available at the station for 152 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.
Bodmin Parkway Train Station
Located in Cornwall, in the south west of England, Bodmin Parkway offers passengers services to or from London Paddington railway station, including the Night Riviera overnight sleeping car service and the Golden Hind which offers an early morning service to London and an evening return. Other fast trains are the mid-morning Cornish Riviera and the afternoon Royal Duchy service.The station is located on the Cornish Main Line which provides a connection from London to Truro, St Austell, Bodmin Parkway and Liskeard. First Great Western operate the station and also provide most of the passenger services calling at it along with CrossCountry.Facilities at the station include pay phones, refreshments and toilets. Passengers should note that ATM's and baby changing facilities are not available. Parking is available at the station for 70 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.A bus is available from outside the station towards Wadebridge and Padstow. The entrance to the station, which is just south of the town itself, is on the platform served by trains to Penzance. A footbridge allows passengers access to Platform 2 which is served by trains to London Paddington and Plymouth.
