London King's Cross railway station, operated by Network Rail, is a central London main line railway station located on the northern edge of central London - at the junction of the Euston Road and York Way. The station is the southern terminus of the East Coast Main Line which is a high speed line that connects London, Peterborough, Doncaster, Wakefield, Leeds, York, Darlington, Newcastle, Edinburgh. King's Cross is also a London terminus for First Capital Connect services which provides commuter services to areas of North London and outer-suburban/regional services to Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. The station has a staffed ticket office and passengers are also able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.

Facilities at the station include ATM's, bureau de change, First Class Lounge, pay phones, public wifi, cafes and shops, toilets and baby changing facilities.

Passenger services using the station are operated by First Hull Trains, East Coast, Grand Central and First Capital Connect. Harrogate railway station is operated by Northern Rail and is located on the Harrogate Line providing services to parts of North Yorkshire and the West Yorkshire Metro area of northern England connecting Leeds to York by way of Harrogate and Knaresborough. Passenger services calling at the station are operated by Northern Rail and East Coast.

Weekday services are generally every 30 minutes to Leeds, calling at all stations, and to Knaresborough. There are also hourly services to York which also call at all stations en route. These services double during peak times. East Coast operates a daily morning business service starting in Harrogate towards Leeds, stopping once at Horsforth, then onto London King's Cross. The evening service from London King's Cross to Harrogate does not call at Horsforth.

Facilities at the station include ATM's, pay phones, cafe, shops and toilets. Passengers should note that baby changing facilities are not available at the station. Parking is available at the station for 117 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.
