Cambridge railway station, operated by Greater Anglia, serves the historic university city of Cambridge and is the start of several routes of the national rail network including the West Anglia Main Line to London Liverpool Street, the Fen Line to King's Lynn, the Breckland Line to Norwich and the Cambridge Line with services heading south to London King's Cross. The station has a staffed ticket office and passengers are able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station. Interestingly the station has the third longest platform in the country - behind Colchester and Gloucester.Facilities at the station include ATM's, pay phones, public wifi, a cafe, shops, toilets and baby changing facilities.Cambridge station has 8 platforms and offers passengers destinations which include Ely, King's Lynn, Birmingham New Street, London King's Cross, London Liverpool Street, Norwich, Ipswich, Stanstead Airport, Leicester, Peterborough, Stratford and Tottenham Hale. Located in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough railway station offers passengers destinations including London King's Cross, Leeds, Newcastle Central, Edinburgh Waverley, York, Cambridge, Manchester Piccadilly, Liverpool Lime Street, Nottingham, Sheffield, Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds.Peterborough railway station is operated by East Coast and is located on the East Coast Main Line which connects London to Peterborough, Doncaster, Wakefield, Leeds, York, Darlington, Newcastle and Edinburgh. It is also located on the East-West long distance and local services. Passenger services calling at the station are operated by Greater Anglia, First Capital Connect, East Midlands Trains, East Coast and CrossCountry.Facilities at the station include ATM's, pay phones, refreshments, shops, toilets and baby changing facilities. Parking is available at the station for 731 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day. The station has a concourse and ticket office area which was redesigned and reopened in mid-2012. The station concourse is where passengers can find the newsagent and a cafe. For general assistance there is a customer information point located on Platform 2 by the concourse, as well as customer service offices on Platform 5 and near the toilets on Platform 2. Platforms 3, 4 and 5 are accessible by means of a passenger footbridge and also by a ramp bridge at the north end of the station.
