Birmingham New Street Train Station
Birmingham New Street railway station, managed by Network Rail, is one of three main railway station serving Birmingham city centre. The other two being Birmingham Moor Street and Birmingham Snow Hill. The station splays an important role in CrossCountry's national rail network and for Virgin Trains services from London to Glasgow and Edinburgh on the West Coast Main Line.The station has a staffed ticket office but passengers are also able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the ticket machines located in the station. Passengers should note that the ticket office is not open on Sundays.Passenger facilities at the station include ATM's, a First Class Lounge, pay phones, public wifi, food outlets, shops (including Boots, Costa Coffee and W H Smith), toilets and baby changing facilities.Four escalators currently provide access to the Pallasades Shopping Centre, and there are lifts down to most platforms from the new paid concourse. There are escalators from the concourse down to the 'B' end of each platform (except platform 12). All 12 main platforms, except platform 4c, are through platforms.Passenger services calling at the station are operated by CrossCountry, Virgin Trains, Arriva Trains Wales and London Midland.There is a short stay car park at the station for 40 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.

Located in Berkshire, Reading railway station offers passengers services to destinations including London Paddington, Bristol Temple Meads, Bath Spa, Chippenham, Swindon, Cardiff Central, Swansea, Exeter St Davids, Plymouth, Newquay, Birmingham New Street, Birmingham International, Southampton, Bournemouth, London Waterloo and London Heathrow Airport.Reading railway station is operated by Network Rail and is located on the Great Western Main Line which connects London Paddington station to the west of England and South Wales. To the west of the station, the line splits into two branches, allowing it to serve a variety of communities in the West and South West of England and onward into South Wales. At either Cardiff Central or Swansea connections with the Arriva Trains Wales boat train to/from Fishguard Harbour railway station are available. This in turn connects with the Stena Line ferry to Rosslare Europort in Ireland. It is the third busiest interchange station outside London, after Birmingham New Street and Manchester Piccadilly, with almost 3.8 million passengers changing trains at the station annually. Passenger services calling at the station are operated by CrossCountry, South West Trains and First Great Western.Facilities at the station include ATM's, pay phones, public wifi, cafe, shops, toilets and baby changing facilities. Parking is available at the station for 1,275 vehicles and is open 24 hours a day.
