Royal Opera House

The Royal Opera House is a major performing arts venue in Covent Garden, London. The venue was originally constructed in 1732 and is the home to The Royal Opera, The Royal Ballet and to the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House. The current building facade dates from 1858 although the most of the rest of the building has undergone extensive reconstruction in the 1990's. The venue has a capacity of 2,256 and consists of four tiers of boxes and balconies.

The Royal Opera house is a short walk across Covent Garden piazza from Covent Garden Underground station.
