Barbican Centre

The Barbican Centre is a performing arts centre in the City of London and is the largest of its type in Europe. The centre was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1982 and hosts classical and contemporary music concerts, theatre performances, film screenings and art exhibitions. There are also restaurants and library and a conservatory within the centre. The centre is home to the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra.
