London Euston Train Station

London Euston railway station, operated by Network Rail, is a central London railway station. The station is the southern terminus of the West Coast Main Line which connects London to the West Midlands, the North West, North Wales and the Central Belt of Scotland. The station is also the London terminus for London Midland services and for services on the Watford DC Line. The station has a staffed ticket office and passengers are also able to collect tickets purchased in advance (for example, on the internet) from one of the automatic ticket machines located in the station.

Facilities at the station include ATM's, bureau de change, First Class Lounge, pay phones, public wifi, cafes, shops, toilets, baby changing facilities and tourist information office.

Passenger services departing the station are operated by First ScotRail, London Midland and Virgin Trains. Destinations available include Glasgow Central, Edinburgh Waverley, Birmingham New Street, Preston, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Manchester Piccadilly, Stockport, Liverpool Lime Street, Chester, Tring, Milton Keynes Central, Northampton and Watford Junction. Overnight sleeper services are also available to Aberdeen via Kilkcaldy and Dundee, Fort William via Dalmuir and Inverness via Stirling and Perth.

When the present station was first built it consisted of one large island platform with bay platforms at each end for terminating local services. In the 2000's the station was extensively reconstructed retaining the original Victorian island platform and building but the bay platforms at the western end were removed. A new platform was added on the south side, which is normally used for northbound services. In addition to these, a new island platform numbered 5 and 6 is located on the north side of the station, which is normally used for southbound services. The main island platforms are accessed from a tunnel at road level and a ramp leading to the platforms.
